Practices are scheduled every other weekend, except in FEB & MAY .

All ammunition for club practices will be supplied. Please do not bring ammunition with you to practice.

JJHEC, INC. PROGRAM REGULATIONS
*SAFETY WILL BE FIRST AND FOREMOST CONSIDERATION DURING ALL ACTIVITIES.
*PARTICIPANTS VIOLATING ANY SAFETY RULE (AS LISTED BELOW) WILL BE GIVEN ONE WARNING AND THEN BE DISQUALIFIED FROM FURTHER PARTICIPATION. IF A SECOND INFRACTION OCCURS, IF THE SAFETY VIOLATION IS SEVERE, THE PARTICIPANT MAY NOT BE GIVEN A WARNING.

*WORKDAYS,PRACTICES AND SHOOTS ARE MANDATORY, UNEXCUSED MISSES WILL RESULT IN THE FOLLOWING:(WORKDAYS AND SHOOTS AFTER 2 MISSES,WILL RESULT IN REMOVAL FROM CLUB. AFTER 4 MISSED PRACTICES, WILL NOT BE ALLOWED ENTRY IN STATE COMPETITION.)

PARENT PARTICIPATION IS A MUST. PARENT PARTICIPATION MAY BE LOOKED UPON AS THE TIE BREAKER FOR SOME LIMITED OUTINGS.

A HUNTER SAFETY COURSE IS MANDATORY FOR ALL PARTICIPANTS AGES 10 THRU 18. NO PARTICIPANT CAN ATTEND STATE WITHOUT THIS COURSE.(YOU ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR THE SAFETY COURSE, JJHEC WILL MAKE ONE AVAILABLE BEFORE STATE, MAKE SURE YOU ATTEND.)

NO ONE CAN USE THE RANGE WITHOUT A CERTIFIED JJHEC INSTRUCTOR PRESENT. ALL PRACTICES WILL BE WITH A CERTIFIED INSTRUCTOR.

PARTICIPANTS WILL PROVIDE THEIR OWN FIREARMS, BOWS AND ARROWS, COMPASSES, AND EYE AND EAR PROTECTION.

PARENTS ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR THE TRANSPORTATION ARRANGEMENTS TO AND FROM STATE COMPETITION IN MAY. PARENTS ALSO MAY BE CALLED UPON FOR TRANSPORTATION FOR OTHER ACTIVITIES.

PARTICIPANTS ARE EXPECTED TO EXHIBIT BEHAVIOR ABOVE REPROACH AT ALL TIMES. ANYONE CAUGHT IN UNETHICAL CONDUCT WHILE AT CLUB ACTIVITIES OR ELSE WHERE, WILL BE REPRIMANDED AS TO THE SEVERITY OF THE ACT.

IN ORDER TO QUALIFY FOR NATIONAL COMPETITION, A PARTICIPANT MUST FINISH AT STATE COMPETITION IN THE ORIGINAL TOP 10 COMPETITORS.THESE 10 WILL THEN GO BEFORE THE BOARD FOR RECOMMENDATIONS.

SAFETY RULES:
( Just a few to ensure safety for yourself and other team members)
*Please keep your firearms in excellent working condition.
*If a misfire occurs, keep your gun in a safe direction and notify and an instructor
*No one is allowed ammuntion in their posession unless they are on the firing line.
*Do not wander away from your group. Stay on the trails.
*No horseplay or harrassing of other teammembers.
*Please show respect to the instructors, they are there to help you.
*ACTIONS OF ENCASED FIREARMS MUST ALWAYS BE OPEN EXCEPT WHEN ON THE FIRING LINE, READY TO FIRE.
*GUNS ARE TO BE UNLOADED EXCEPT WHEN ON THE FIRING LINE , READY TO FIRE.
*ARROWS WILL NOT BE KNOCKED UNTIL ON THE FIRING LINE.
*ALL FIREARMS MUST HAVE A SAFETY DEVICE. THE SAFETY WILL REMAIN ON AT ALL TIMES EXCEPT WHEN READY TO FIRE.
*ALL FIREARMS WILL BE POINTED AND BOWS DRAWN IN A SAFE DIRECTION AT ALL TIMES.
*PARTICIPANTS MUST WEAR ADEQUATE EYE AND EAR PROTECTION WHILE ON THE FIRING LINE.(NO BORROWING)
*NO HORSE PLAY: RUNNING, FIGHTING OR WRESTLING.
*NO SMOKING, SWEARING, OR DRINKING ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGES.
